Navigation impacts

Ships’ anchors, particularly the large ones, can damage the seabed and seagrass meadows very seriously. The anchoring trailing can destroy in minutes rich meadows and reefs.

On the other hand, discharges even of organic matter and food waste alter the chemical and physical conditions of the environment modifying its ecological balance.

Responsible navigation tips

Anchor in the areas demarcated by the buoy fields. It is also a safe option to anchor over sand banks that are visible from the surface.

The boats must dispose of all the waste at the facilities prepared for this in the public ports of Ibiza, Formentera, San Antonio and the rest of the private marinas. Conventional waste can be stored in the ship and disposed of once in land.
